Job description

Would you be interested in a pivotal position at a leading edge aerospace manufacturing company?

Would you like to live in a beautiful and safe country, with generous welfare benfits and free school/university education for your family?

If so, come to Denmark; it has been voted one of the best countries in the world to live and work in for many years.

I'm looking for a Responsible Level 3, with aerospace composites testing experience, to take advantage of this excellent opportunity.

It's a permanent position, with lower taxes than you think (c38%), no man-management responsibilities, 10% company pension contribution, great benefits, everyone speaks English, and much, much more.

I have placed non-Danish NDT contractors and permanent employees with this company before. So, I know the business well. The company has a friendly atmosphere and has lots of work on its order book.

Role Description:

The Responsible Level 3, appointed by the Quality Assurance department at Terma, acts as the authoritative figure on behalf of the company regarding NDT process qualification, equipment qualification, and personnel certification processes. This role is vital for leading and managing NDT activities, ensuring all operations adhere to the company's established practices, applicable standards, and customer requirements. With a holistic approach, the Responsible Level 3 acts as the ultimate authority in the NDT domain, and directly contributes to methodological duties in their areas of certification.

UT requires inspection of monolithic carbon composite and honeycomb sandwich components using twin- and multi-axis C-scan machines, backed up by A-scan tests.

My client is working together with some of the largest companies within the defence and commercial aerostructures industry, such as Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream and Sikorsky, and they are a supplier to the world's largest industrial project, the F35/Joint Strike Fighter program.

What can my client offer?

They offer a job with great opportunities for the right, talented NDT technician, with a challenging position in an international high-tech company. You will be part of a company with an exciting future of considerable growth. You will receive a thorough introduction and training in their systems and processes, and they are focused on teaching you useful competences. Their culture is informal and direct. In excess of the business challenges, my client offers a wide range of social activities.

Job requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain security clearance (ITAR).
  • Must have a valid NAS 410 and/or EN 4179 Level 2 or 3 certificate in the following methods: Ultrasonics, Radiography, and Penetrant Testing (at least one must be at Level 3).
  • Experience in developing and implementing NDT procedures and quality assurance programmes.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 7 years NDT experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of composite materials, fabrication processes, and failure mechanisms.
  • Batchelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or related field preferred
  • Able to understand and read technical English

Job benefits:

  • Relocation assistance
  • 6 weeks paid vacation/year (2.08 days are earned each month, + one additional week released in September).
  • Private Health Insurance (in addition to very good Danish public health insurance).
  • Paid maternity/paternity leave for 24 weeks (must have been employed for at least 9 months to be eligible).
  • Free mobile phone
  • Free internet at home
  • Possibility to donate blood during work hours.
  • Free Fruit and coffee
  • Free computer glasses, if required.
  • Free influenza vaccination
  • On-site gym facilities
  • On-site massage for a beneficial price
  • Other benefits of Denmark will include free school and University. Students aged 18+ are eligible for a stipend of 455 EUR/month when living at home/with parents, or 914 EUR/month when living by themselves.
  • Denmark is just a wonderful and safe country with a greatly developed welfare system.
