Aerospace Technical Author

Our client are a leading provider of Technical Publications, Computer Based Training, Integrated Logistic Support, Graphic Design, Animation and Marketing Services to global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across a wide variety of sectors.
 
They are seeking a Technical Author to join them. They are looking for people with an Engineering background but are interested in being involved in the production of Technical Manuals for Aerospace projects. If you don’t have extensive experience within the Aerospace industry but are looking to get into the Aviation sector this role could be perfect for you so please feel free to apply we would love to hear from you.

Duties will include:
 

• Compiling and maintaining Illustrated Parts Lists from the customer’s engineering database (Bill of Materials, engineering drawings)
• Liaising with the engineering and on-site support teams to resolve technical queries.
• Creating technical documentation from individual data modules to full maintenance manuals for a varied range of clients.
• Working closely with other Technical Authors and Illustrators.

 
To be suitable for the role:
 

• You will have a Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Ideally you will have experience Working with Engineering Drawings, Manufacturer’s Production Processes and 3D models.
• A working knowledge or keen interest in the aviation industry. 

 
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary: 25-35K plus exceptional benefits
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
