PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • To provide additional capacity and expertise to enable AG Consulting to support the growing and evolving needs of clients. This will involve supporting the enablement of in-house legal teams across Addleshaw Goddard's global client base to achieve operational excellence through more efficient and effective ways of working. This role offers opportunities for career progression and, subject to the level of experience, we are open to considering candidates at either a Senior Advisor or Manager level.
THE TEAM AND EXPERTISE IN AG CONSULTING
  • AG Consulting intends to be the UK's undisputed leading consulting function to corporate legal teams by 2030. We deliver clarity and confidence to clients by helping them maximise the effectiveness of their People, their Performance and their Technology. This includes helping clients:
o create compelling strategies for the legal function which align with the wider business;
o embrace new service delivery models;
o adopt more streamlined, tech-enabled ways of work;
o establish legal as a proactive, strategic enabler; and
o successfully navigate transformation within the legal function.
  • Based across the Firm's UK offices, the team is made up of Consultants who all work closely with a variety of clients, including household names and FTSE100 organisations. Whilst already acknowledged as "market leading" by clients and recognised through independent awards such as the FT Innovative Lawyer awards, AG Consulting are passionate about continuous improvement and constantly looking for new ways to support clients.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
  • You will be involved in supporting the wider team with the design and delivery of a range of client engagements relating to optimising the legal department's service delivery model. There will also be opportunities to research, design and deliver your own content.
  • You will be a proven stakeholder manager, with the ability to foster trusted relationships with a variety of high-profile clients and to support colleagues with the delivery of successful projects, for groups of senior in-house lawyers, legal leaders, and their teams.
  • Experience, or an interest, in data analysis would be advantageous, but not essential. This is an important growth area for the team and its clients, as we look to deliver more content in this space.
  • As a small team, you will have lots of autonomy and, the opportunity to get involved in a variety of consulting projects, providing a range of career development opportunities.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have experience providing support in designing and delivering engaging client sessions.
  • Be comfortable providing support with the creation of standardised tools and methodologies to facilitate the delivery of client projects.
  • Be a confident stakeholder manager, comfortable speaking in front of, and facilitating discussions with, stakeholders of all seniority levels.
  • Be engaging and consultative, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly, to better support clients with the challenges and opportunities they face.
  • Have experience setting and managing expectations with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Be confident maintaining high quality work across multiple projects consecutively and comfortable, working independently when needed.
  • As well as client work, you also have experience working on tasks that improve team internal efficiencies and processes, creating a best practice approach to client delivery.
  • Be equipped to assist with research activities and assist with the collation and analysis of data to support to the delivery of client projects.
  • Be confident supporting with internal and external marketing initiatives to promote our offering, including case studies to demonstrate our experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (or similar), to include working with spreadsheets and creating presentations, is essential.
  • Project Management skills are desirable, but not essential.
  • A background in legal services is desirable, but not essential.
