Tarff is an Agricultural Merchant supplying the rural community in Southern Scotland, Northern England, Ayrshire and most recently, Islay, with a wide range of quality products and services.

Tarff positions itself as a ‘one stop shop’ and sells a full range of agricultural products including animal feed, fertiliser, seeds, anthelmintics, animal health products, hardware, clothing and footwear. Tarff’s flagship country stores in Dumfries and Castle Kennedy sell a wider range of products including local foodstuffs, gifts, toys, clothing and footwear and has an in-store café.
Tarff is looking for a full time Agricultural Sales Representative in the Lanarkshire area. The candidate should have excellent customer service skills and an approachable manner.
Responsibilities
- Present, promote and sell products/services mainly in the animal feed, animal health and fertiliser sectors.
- Establish, develop and maintain good customer relationships.
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure enquiries and orders are fulfilled.
- Being able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
Requirements
This role is suited to someone who has a sound knowledge of the agricultural industry, a ‘can-do’ attitude and an approachable manner. The applicant should be customer focused with excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills. Proven work experience in sales or similar role is desirable. You must have solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Time management skills and being able to multitask are essential. The candidate will report directly to the Sales Manager but will work alone and should be able to self-motivate.
Full time position. Working hours 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Good remuneration package, company car, pension and profit related bonus scheme for the successful candidate.
