What success looks like in this role:

We are searching for an accomplished AI/ML Architect to spearhead the transformation of Unisys large-scale enterprise platforms across diverse industries, migrating from legacy implementations to cutting-edge architectures and technology stacks integrated with Artificial Intelligence capabilities. The role involves driving innovation by crafting new solutions and modernizing existing applications, offering strategic guidance on technology selection, design, implementation approaches, and Unisys Solution offerings. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing AI capabilities within enterprise-grade platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Architectural Leadership:
    • Lead the strategy and architecture transformation of legacy enterprise-scale platforms, incorporating modern technology stacks with AI capabilities.
    • Drive innovation by conceptualizing and implementing AI functionalities within enterprise platforms.
  • Client Advisory and Engagement:
    • Collaborate closely with clients' senior management, providing architectural guidance and technical expertise on complex business and systems issues.
    • Strategic planning and business case development within the assigned Unisys portfolio areas and infrastructure disciplines such as application / storage platforms, databases, networks, security, and IT processes / operations / governance.
    • Continuously review the technology landscape, advising clients on emerging technology solutions to enhance our services' value proposition.
    • Integrates complex solutions into new or existing client environments.
  • Solution Integration and Oversight:
    • Integrate complex solutions into new or existing client environments, ensuring solution integrity and engineering attributes.
    • Provide technical oversight and guidance on estimating, work breakdown structures, and industry-standard estimation techniques.
  • Agile and Modernization:
    • Design and architect transformational journeys for clients, emphasizing microservices, PaaS, serverless architectures, and DevSecOps integration.
    • Develop backlogs for continuous modernization of large-scale applications, coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Best Practices:
    • Champion the use of AI/ML and Advanced Data Analytics best practices, provide workshops, trainings, and coaching to teams to modernizing applications.
    • Mentor and lead other architects, engineers, ensuring high-quality architectural solutions.
    • Set up documentation practices for AI projects, including code, methodologies, and results.
    • Share best practices for design, development, and emerging technology solutions.
  • Governance and Ethics:
    • Establish Ethical Framework and guidelines for ethical AI use within the organization.
    • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks related to AI.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • AI/ML and Data Expertise:
    • Advanced experience in designing and implementing machine learning algorithms (Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Algorithms).
    • Advanced experience in LLM, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Data Modeling, and enterprise-level use cases using Generative AI such as ChatGPT.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R for building AI/ML capabilities, and experience in data streaming platforms such as Apache Spark.
    • Advanced experience in Multi Cloud Services (AWS / Azure / GCP), enterprise-level software delivery, and modernizing applications from legacy platforms.
    • Deep expertise in Data platforms – RDBMS, NOSQL, BigData and APIs – REST, SOAP.
  • Infrastructure and Integration Knowledge:
    • Deep expertise in modern cloud architecture patterns, cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
    • Extensive knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and evangelism of best practices/standards.
  • Development and Networking:
    • Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, or others, and knowledge of event-based/message architectures like Kafka.
    • Knowledge of virtual networking, network interfaces, identity/access management, and DevOps technologies.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, having overall 15+ years of industry experience with at least 5+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, and related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
