The role
As an Aircraft Handler, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Senior Driver you will assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be key part of our flight-line operations. You'll be preparing aircraft for the upcoming days flying, conducting see-in and see-off procedures as well as being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft. Once authorised you'll also be undertaking daily maintenance checks on the company owned aircraft, carrying out pre-use checks and be responsible for minor scheduled maintenance on company owned Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Day to day, you'll assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be key part of our flight-line operations, as well as:
  • Preparing aircraft for the upcoming days flying, conducting see-in and see-off procedures as well as being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft.
  • Once authorised you'll also be undertaking daily maintenance checks on the company owned aircraft, carrying out pre-use checks and be responsible for minor scheduled maintenance on company owned Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • There will be some general duties as required, including (but not limited to), driving, stores duties, housekeeping and other responsibilities as allocated by the Senior Driver or SOM.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cosford.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Handler:
  • Experience of handling aircraft in a military or civilian EASA Pt 145 environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
  • Driving Licence

Qualifications for the Aircraft Handler:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
