The role
As an Aircraft Technician you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Support all aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance; scheduled servicing and corrective maintenance all other engineering related activities and services on Company Aircraft and Equipment including Check A maintenance as required to meet or exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs at all times.
Day to day, you'll assist in the ground movement of aircrafts, as well as:
  • Carry out Flight-line operations i.e. Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, "see-in" and "see-off", fuel and oil replenishment. Daily Check A maintenance.
  • Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.
  • Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.
  • Complete "all" documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedure.
  • General duties as required, including, driving, stores duties, housekeeping etc., and other responsibilities as allocated by Management.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wittering.
The Hours of this role:
  • 0730-1930, 4 days on and 4 days off

Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
  • Driving Licence
  • Aircraft engineering experience
  • Knowledge of MOD Engineering procedures/documentation

Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:
  • Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
