Yorkshire Cancer Research is entering an exciting period in its development. As part of this we are expanding our team, and a number of new roles are being created. As such, we are now looking for a Supporter Data Assistant to support our Brand and Relationships team.

The Role  

 
As our Supporter Data Assistant, you will provide the day-to-day management of data processing to support the charity’s fundraising, supporter engagement and finance operations so that donors and Supporters receive the best possible experience of, and from, Yorkshire Cancer Research.  

 
Reporting to the CRM manager, you will maintain a particular focus upon data and transactions, including the management of donation data, to ensure fundraised income is imported, accounted for and acknowledged accurately and on time to support the delivery of the best customer experience on behalf of the charity. 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Process supporter data in a timely and effective way to ensure supporters receive an optimal customer experience. 

  • Ensure an accurate 360-degree view of supporters is recorded on the CRM resource to provide insights that will enhance on-going supporter stewardship. 

  • Accurately process and code incoming donations, documenting the range of income channels for audit and analysis. 

  • Generate monthly reports for monitoring campaign successes. 

  • Inform the Supporter Engagement team and Account Managers to donor activity where a tailored response might be required. 

  • Support events and community fundraising teams with tracking and accounting of cash collections. 

  • Process direct debit and regular gift income in an accurate and timely manner. 

  • Ensure all new direct debit sign-ups are added to the CRM and submitted to the direct debit processor with due notice. 

  • Work closely with the Finance Officer, regularly review and refine the Gift Aid claim process. 

  • Work with the CRM Manager to review and refine supporter engagement reports, to identify opportunities for enhancing meaningful connections with Yorkshire Cancer Research. 

 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

  • To be ideally educated to A Level or equivalent or have experience in a similar role at a similar level.   

  • To be experienced and confident in using a CRM System or database. 

  • To have experience of finance reconciliation and reporting.   

  • To have experience of processing data in a timely and effective manner. 

  • To be familiar with CRM data integration with experience of imports and exports. 

  • To have an understanding of confidentiality and GDPR regulations. 

  • To have excellent organisation skills and exceptional attention to detail. 

  • To have good digital and IT skills including Office 365, CRM and collaboration tools. 

  • To have excellent time management skills with an ability to manage a range of objectives and meet deadlines. 

  • To have the ability to work with discretion when processing confidential information.
