Alumni Engagement
Do you have substantial experience of working with alumni, holding excellent interpersonal communication skills? Are you confident managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines, working collaboratively with colleagues across all areas?
If the answer is yes, then the role of Alumni Relations Officer could be ideal.
As Alumni Relations Officer your duties will include to:
- Support the implementation of the Alumni Strategy and its support of key University priorities around student recruitment, global engagement, fundraising and employability
- Support a programme of alumni activity to reach, inspire and cultivate the University’s worldwide alumni and supporter community
- Develop, maintain and regularly update a bank of alumni profiles and alumni success stories
- Work with Academic and Professional Services staff to create, launch and support subject-based alumni groups and associations to support mentoring, employability and other priorities of the Alumni strategy
- Plan and deliver events in locations around the UK and support the organisation of international events to create networking and professional developments for our alumni
The successful candidate will have/be:
- First degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of communicating information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to work flexibly, often with complex subject matter across a broad range of subject areas
- Knowledge and understanding of current affairs and higher education
- Ability to develop and use a network of contacts
