I am working with a Toys and Games company who are looking to take their Amazon capability back in house after having outsourced it for a short period of time.
The key person for this role will understand how to manage all Amazon activity and understand how to build a profitable Amazon vendor account. The company are ambitious about growing the Amazon account but not at the expense of profitability, so someone who can get into the data and fix underlying issues and then build a platform to grow from is vital.
Responsibilities will include
- Taking full responsibility of all Amazon activity across sales, marketing, listings, content.
- Understanding where the Amazon business is and making adaptations to give a full platform to grow from - starting with low hanging fruit and organic wins.
- Working with senior stakeholders across sales and marketing to educate business on the virtues of having a high performing Amazon account - and gain more resource for account growth
- Own P&L for Amazon account, looking to grow sales and profitability
- Working with senior stakeholders and NPD teams to ensure products are manufactured with Amazon and ecommerce in mind, with a view to developing Amazon and ecommerce specific products where there is opportunity and value.
- Develop Amazon strategy and report back to the business accordingly.
The Successful Amazon Account Manager will
- Be a confident and accomplished Amazon Vendor Central Operator
- Be able to be the Amazon knowledge base and thought leader for the business
- Be able to audit the account and understand where it is, and where it needs to be to become a high performing and profitable channel.
- Have an incredible attention to detail, ability to turn data into actionable insights to make positive strides in the Amazon space
- Be a self-professed Amazon "nerd" and proactively seek learning opportunities through reading, listening, networking about new ways to win on the platform to stay ahead of the curve.
- Be able to work with limited budget on the platform initially, and then get a proportional budget sign off from growth generated.
- Be able to commute to SW London office 1-2 days a week.
