Job description

The post holders are expected to work closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards for all patients requiring all aspects of perioperative care, following appropriate training encompassing a variety of specialities.
The post holders are expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with direct supervision and will be expected to demonstrate procedures and supervise unqualified staff.
You may be required to work late shifts, nights and weekends and take part in an on-call rota. You may also be required to work your contracted hours across 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within his/her sphere of responsibility, having regard for the differing needs of sedation, regional or general anaesthesia
To liaise with other health care team members within the Perioperative Services Directorate in accordance with patient requirements and needs, ensuring confidentiality of patient
UHL staff are required to work late shifts, nights and weekends. Staff are also required to take part in an on-call rota to cover nights and weekends 7 days a week including bank holidays. Staff may also be required to work across sites as and when required.
To support the Clinical Leader in managing the departmental resources and equipment, to ensure loaned/faulty equipment is returned, responding to national (MHRA) and company/local alerts regarding safety concerns and carrying out special orders to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively.
Utilise a questioning approach to patient care and application of research within clinical practice. To raise awareness of relevant research findings in clinical practice complying with the principles of Clinical Governance. To actively participate in the audit process
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
