Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal pain management and patient safety.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualised anaesthetic plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgery, adjusting dosage and techniques as necessary to maintain physiological stability.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless perioperative care.
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency resuscitation efforts as required.
- Contribute to audit and research activities to enhance anaesthetic practice and patient outcomes.
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Completion of core anaesthetic training and entry onto the Specialist Register (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in providing anaesthetic care in a hospital setting.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
