InfluenceMap is a world-renowned non-profit organization working on cutting-edge climate and sustainability issues. We are best known for the LobbyMap platform, which analyses corporate lobbying on Climate Change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous campaigns. Other workstreams include the FinanceMap platform, assessing the financial sector, and the Carbon Majors database. We are seeking an Analyst to join our team who will be responsible for assessing companies on Climate Change and/or biodiversity loss. You will be working on the LobbyMap workstream. LobbyMap is the world’s leading platform measuring corporate climate policy engagement. It provides an independent, data-driven assessment of how the world’s largest companies and their industry associations are influencing climate policy and regulations. Through mastering our methodology and processes, the opportunity exists to become a specialist in corporate climate policy engagement in India.
Full training in our research methods and how to effectively communicate our results will be provided. Having demonstrated your ability, the possibility exists to develop a specialist area in terms of sector, policy area or geography, in line with the organization’s project needs. Our approach is highly data-orientated and involves accuracy, consistency and great attention to detail. InfluenceMap’s work is in widespread use by finance, the media and other stakeholders, and we thus place great importance on the ability to communicate our content (both written and verbal) effectively.
Requirements
To be successful in this role at InfluenceMap, you should have:
- Outstanding analytical skills, with a very strong attention to detail
- Superb research skills, with an interest in investigative research
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to communicate complex issues and data-driven analysis concisely and convincingly
- Advanced IT and software skills across a range of common applications
- Fluent in English with excellent writing skills
- Right to work in the UK
Desired skills:
- Hindi language proficiency
- One to two years of climate or policy research experience on topics concerning India.

- This is a full-time employment
- Location: UK, we have an office in London, but flexible remote working is possible
- £27-£32K depending on qualifications and experience
- 24 days of annual leave per year and extra day of paid holiday after each year of service (capped at 29 days)
