Joining our newly-formed central services, we are now recruiting two forward-thinking, driven individuals to step into our newly-created Analytics Business Partner positions working across The Forge Holiday Group.

These positions therefore will sit at the forefront of our development as a crucial member of the team.

  • Paying a salary between £55,000 and £65,000 per annum

Reporting to the Analytics Manager, our newest Business Partner will lead a team of Analysts in one of our two squads (Customer, Owner), influencing decision-making around the business with insights from data.
You will be an expert at telling stories with data, and will lead your squad to ensure that we are prioritising work that causes significant impact and meets the needs of a rapidly growing business.
Supported by a lead engineer and Principal/Senior Analysts who will develop technical excellence. , you will play an important role in ensuring that the business has a strong connection to our team, and that our team has its finger on the pulse of what is needed. You will ensure that the work the team undertakes makes sense commercially, is actionable, meets the needs of the business and goes on to be used and have a positive impact.
This role would be well suited to someone who has a good technical foundation, and experience with communicating findings to stakeholders whether that was in a corporate or consulting setting. The role requires a go-get attitude, and you will channel a 'how can I help' mentality.

Reporting into the Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for the following areas:


Squad leadership

  • Responsible for the effective management and delivery of high value initiatives.
  • Managing the funnel of work to ensure that our team drives the greatest impact that it can (through approving business requests and partnering with the business to create initiatives for your squad to work on that are aligned to OKRs).
  • You will ensure that that initiatives are delivered to the agreed date and quality.
  • You will also ensure that the business is served with BAU information it requires, managing available squad resource to balance initiatives and BAU requests
  • Coach analysts in best practices to ensure efficient and effective work delivery across tools and techniques. Stakeholder collaboration
  • Bridging data & analytics with other business units, understanding needs and proactively identifying opportunities for data to be used to build competitive edge or inform decision making. ? Driving a positive image of D&A in your area, and ensuring that your stakeholders are receiving the data that they need, when they need it, regardless of whether they ask for it.
  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders, scoping work effectively, and drive a culture of data fluency across the business. Data analysis / dashboard development
  • Ensuring that analysis / reports / dashboards are to a high standard and comply with best practice ways of working to be delivered effectively and accurately.
  • Focus on designing 'right fit' solutions that leverage the squad's capabilities, including predictive and prescriptive analytics through crossover with our data science team.
  • Ensure adherence to principles such as Data > Insight > Action and storytelling for impactful reporting

All we ask you to have the following key skills:

  • A strong foundation in analytics best practice across a range of tools (our core analytics tools are Tableau, SQL, and Excel).
  • An evangelist of concepts such as Data > Insight > Action and storytelling with data to drive effective communication of findings across
  • Advantageous to have specific experience influencing commercial decision making in an e-Commerce business.
  • Numerate advanced degree advantageous. presentations, reports and dashboards.
  • Strong commercial experience (ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism industry).
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects / initiatives on time and to a high quality.
  • Experience managing and coaching more junior colleagues.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders (including c-suite).


Although standouts will also have:

  • Advantageous to have specific experience influencing commercial decision making in an e-Commerce business.
  • Numerate advanced degree advantageous.
  • Experience creating predictive / prescriptive analytics through dashboards and other data products.
