- Answering the emergency telephone line
- Greeting and booking in clients for out-of-hours appointments
- Taking payments for treatment and encourage contributions from clients
- Maintaining a hygienic environment by carrying out cleaning duties, including clinical areas
- The role includes a small amount of animal husbandry, providing support to the clinical team by assisting with cleaning and looking after inpatients
The role provides support to the small, out-of-hours, clinical team overnight from 8pm until 8am (12h shift) on a rolling six-day rota of one night on shift and five nights off. The role also has the requirement to cover absence/annual leave shared between the 4-strong Animal Care Auxiliary team. This will mean some additional nights, for which overtime will be paid.
