Location: University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham UK

Grade 9 - £56,021 - £84,644 for appointment as an Anniversary Fellow at Associate Professor equivalent (we may make some appointments at Grade 8 - £45,585 - £61,198 for candidates who are experienced at Assistant Professor/Assistant Lecturer level and who are on a sharp upwards trajectory)

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Normally, a higher degree relevant to the research/teaching area (usually PhD) or equivalent qualifications.
  • An excellent national reputation and a developing international profile for your research work coupled with a clear evidence of impact.
  • Substantial and sustained research income generation, e.g. through research grants, contracts, research consultancy or other external funding
  • High national reputation for the development of teaching and learning excellence within the discipline.
  • Successful and sustained performance in significant administrative/managerial role.
  • Value and actively embrace the diversity of our workforce, students and the environment we work in.

If you are at the equivalent of Assistant Professor/Lecturer and you are experienced and on a sharp upwards trajectory, if appointed you will be supported through an Academic Development Programme and are likely to perform at a level which allows rapid promotion to Anniversary Fellow at Associate Professor equivalent.
