AddressCopello are pleased to be partnered with a leading technology organisation delivering advanced network solutions and communication technologies to both commercial and government customers globally, recruiting for an Antenna Systems Engineer (RF).
This client is a leader within the space industry, advancing satellite and communication technologies. Developing innovative solutions, playing a crucial role in global connectivity and exploration.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the UK Engineering team, playing a crucial role in the present and future design, development and implementation of space Antenna Systems. You will be expected to work within a cross-functional team environment, ensuring you collaborate and deliver on your technical commitments, and achieve project success.
As a Systems Engineer, you will work collaboratively to drive the full lifecycle technical delivery and Systems Engineering activity for all products, projects and associated work packages. These will be both customer driven and for internal Research and Development (R&D) projects requiring Antenna Systems experience and expertise. Whilst providing your individual expertise, you will be required to broaden the Systems Engineering competencies across the UK Team.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
- Requirements capture and definition from stakeholder needs at system level through to sub-systems ownership, traceability, validation and verification.
- System Integration, verification validation and test (IVV&T) support
- Systems Engineering and project management inputs as required, to support planning, schedule and cost activities.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Programme delivery team to maintain awareness and understanding of the engineering status against defined plans.
- Collaborate with Production and Service & Delivery teams to ensure design for manufacture, production, supportability and maintainability.
- Liaise with relevant technical groups including Production, Quality and external suppliers to drive successful engineering outcomes.
- Collaborate with Engineering delivery leads and technical leads to ensure design artifacts are provided to cost, time and quality.
To be considered, you will have proven experience in antenna system designs as well as a proven track record of implementing design for unit production cost initiatives.
In addition, you will be proficient in electromagnetic simulation tools and have a strong understand of antenna theory/ RF communication principles. Experience working with a range of antenna types and RF Technologies within a safety critical environment would also be beneficial to any application.
