Salary: £40k to £80k + 7-8% bonus - depending on experience - if you are at the lower end, there will be plans in place to move up the pay scales.

Your New Company
I'm working exclusively with this product-development business to replace their current outgoing Security Lead. The company has navigated Covid with no redundancies and grown their international customer base, with the plan to add 40% headcount in the next 12 months, so it's an exciting time to be joining the business.
You'll be based in their modern head office in central Bournemouth, a few minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London.
Your New Role
This is not an easily defined position. The client is looking for someone who is passionate about, and lives and breathes security. The company have defined the role as an Application Security Engineer, although the role will be fluid, and you will need to be comfortable adapting to new challenges.
Having gone through a modernisation effort in recent years (80% complete), these are hands-on positions working with cutting edge technologies and some of the best developers in the region. You'll be working on new feature development for 2 of their core products, long term ongoing work as opposed to being pulled around between customers/projects.
The culture is relaxed and there's no red tape. You will be given a large element of control in your daily work, and you will be given a good amount of autonomy to drive forward the effectiveness of Application Security.
What you'll need to succeed
- Passion for cyber and information security.
- Dev or coding background - the client wants you to be able to find vulnerabilities and fix them where possible.
- Security Engineering background.
- Ability to be on site in Bournemouth at least twice a week.
What you'll get in return
The salary is very much up for negotiation and depends on the experience and what you can bring to the role. Attitude and passion for security is crucial. There is no 'minimum experience' level, but this is not a graduate role.
You'll work in a modern office space with top-spec equipment/facilities and a non-corporate culture. You'll get an annual bonus currently averaging 7-8%, company pension scheme and car parking space in central Bournemouth.
