This company are part of a larger group and specialise in the design, development and sale of special purpose manufacturing equipment to clients across the globe. They are a multinational business and the market leaders in their chosen field, with a real drive for technical excellence, To keep up with this demand and ensure they provide a premium service they are looking to bring in an Applications Engineer to the team.
In this role you will be predominantly office based and will offer technical and commercial support both to internal teams & loyal customers. This will be achieved through proposing, developing & costing technically and commercially strong solutions for special purpose machinery & associated systems.
The role will suit an Applications Engineer looking for a varied & interesting role where you will use your technical & commercial expertise to support & deliver a range of interesting projects with an industry leading company in the Bristol area.
The role:
- Supporting the Applications department to deliver technical and commercial support by developing, costing, and proposing technically and commercially strong/appropriate/competitive solutions
- Provide comprehensive and timely responses to incoming enquiries, review enquiries and solutions,
quality gates and sign off / approval processes
* Produce standard machine drawings & layout concept drawings to help visualise solutions (AutoCAD/SolidWorks)
- Create estimates & obtain quotes from suppliers
The person:
* A graphics background with experience of writing specifications and technical reports
* Exceptionally good at proofreading & an eye for detail
* Be able to produce detailed specifications at short notice
* Be able to work independently, whilst working to tight deadlines & the ability to multitask several live projects at any one time
