Applied Psychologist

The role will involve providing psychological advice and support to the professionals around the child, including residential staff and social workers. The postholder will provide psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people; interventions may involve dyadic work with carers or supporting carers to understand and respond to the child's psychological needs. The individual will be involved in the provision of training to other professionals as well as contributing to the development of new training packages. Frequent attendance will be required at multi-agency meetings in order to contribute to systemic thinking within the network and to contribute to multi-agency care planning.
