Job Title: Appointed Person - Heavy Lifting Specialist

Location: Nissan car plant.

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Appointed Person to join our team at the Nissan Car Plant in Sunderland. As an Appointed Person, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing heavy lifting operations, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lift plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lift plans in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Manage and coordinate heavy lifting activities on-site, providing guidance to the lifting team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of lifting operations.
• Monitor equipment condition and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Appointed Person in heavy lifting operations.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Working Hours:

• 10-hour days on Saturdays and Sundays. 7am -5pm typical hours.
• Potential for additional hours midweek based on project requirements.
• Hourly rate negotiable and dependant on experience. 20-30ph CIS basis.
