Appointed Person / Lifting Operations

Infocus are currently seeking an experienced Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) for work on a high profile, long-term project in Plymouth.

Overview of Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) in the civils industry.
• Ideally experienced on large complex sites
• Experienced in creating lift plans and method statements
• Experienced in AUTO CAD
• Hold Lift Planner Competencies

Role

The Appointed Person plays a crucial role in construction by planning and supervising Lifting Operations. They ensure compliance with safety regulations and coordinate efficient and secure lifting procedures. Their expertise in planning and adherence to industry standards contribute to a safe and well-executed lifting environment on construction sites.

Proficient in assessing loads, determining their characteristics, and planning Lifting Operations with precision. Proficient in analysing and managing loads, ensuring optimal weight distribution and safe rigging practices.

Ability to work under pressure and strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with the lifting team, ensuring a seamless and safe execution of lifting procedures.

Demonstrates expertise in planning and coordinating Lifting Operations, considering factors such as load weight, equipment selection, and site-specific conditions.

Demonstrates expertise in supervising and coordinating Lifting Operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and efficient execution.

Ensures compliance with LOLER regulations, including thorough examination and inspection of lifting equipment, and adherence to safety protocols during Lifting Operations.
