Apprentify are hiring on behalf of our client, who are looking for an Appointment Setter/Sales Apprentice to enrol onto our Level 3 IT Technical Sales apprenticeship program. Our client is a young and dynamic start-up business with exciting plans for the future, placed where innovation meets creativity in the dynamic world of website design!
As the company embarks on an exciting journey to expand their talented team, they are thrilled to be hiring for an energetic, hungry and confident individual to work alongside two passionate directors.
The ideal candidate will join initially as an Appointment Setter. Working alongside the business directors, you’ll be responsible for booking appointments, scheduling meetings and essentially managing busy diaries, gaining leads and following those through. The company believes in the power of seamless communication and efficient organisation, and they're eager to welcome a dedicated professional who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of their growing company.
Upon successful completion of a probation period in the Appointment Setter role, you will have the potential to progress into more of a Sales role where there will be an introduction of a commission structure, dependent on initial competence in the Appointment Setter role. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in customer service, hospitality or a receptionist type role who wants to progress into a Sales role at an exciting, innovatie and fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads.
  • Engage with leads in a professional and friendly manner to gather necessary information.
  • Conduct effective conversations to understand the lead's needs, preferences and availability.
  • Qualify leads based on predetermined criteria to ensure they are a good fit for the company's services.
  • Use provided scripts and guidelines to schedule appointments with qualified leads.
  • Utilise a calendar system to efficiently manage and schedule appointments.
  • Implement follow-up strategies to nurture leads that are not immediately ready to schedule an appointment.
  • Maintain a system for tracking follow-up activities and outcomes.
  • Accurately record all relevant information and updates in the CRM system.
  • Generate regular reports on appointment-setting activities and outcomes.
Entry requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication skills both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions and engage leads effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or receptionist type role desirable.
  • Being able to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate lead time zones and preferences.
  • Tech savvy and willing to listen, learn and grow with the business.
  • Grade C/level 4 in English and Maths GCSEs.
Training to be provided
You will undertake the innovative and industry led Apprentify IT Technical Salesperson Level 3 apprenticeship.
We have designed our programme to offer you distinct routes to focus your career path and specialise in areas such as social selling or account management. These paths are designed to jump start your career and make you stand out in a competitive field, increasing your future earning potential.
During the 15 months of training, you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across eight units:
  • The Sales Lifecycle: you will learn about the sales environment, basic sales and marketing theory and how to manage customers through the sales lifecycle.
  • Computer Systems and Sales: you will understand how different IT systems benefit an organisations efficiency and improve sales as well as their core unique selling points.
  • The Sales Process: You will begin to master objection handling and closing sales as well as how to negotiate with prospects to achieve better results.
  • Product Project: you will learn to analyse your market in detail and propose opportunities for new business for your organisation that are suitable for your product line.
  • Sales Ethics and Legalities: you will gain an appreciation of legislation that affects sales and how to sell your products and services in an ethical manner.
  • System Security: you will learn about how IT systems keep customer data secure and the principles of secure coding.
  • Account Management: You will develop your skills in customer communication to win repeat business with your prospects and learn the importance of cultivating long term relationships.
  • The Cloud and Unified Comms: you will learn about how organisations utilise cutting edge tech to streamline processes and protect from cyber attacks.
