Apprentice Carpenter / Passive Fire Engineer

Currently only open to Trivallis tenants.

Welcome to our Apprenticeship Programme! In 2024, we have seven apprenticeships:

• Plumber/Gas Engineer x 2
• Electrician
• Carpenter/Passive Fire Engineer
• Plasterer
• Surveyor
• Business Administration Assistant*

Our programme is open to anyone aged 16+ living in one of our homes. No experience is needed, just a positive attitude. Training is hands-on with professionals, both in the workplace and in college.

Training takes place at Coleg y Cymoedd in Nantgarw or Ystrad Mynach College. Apprentices work across Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff Bay, based in Pontypridd, Cwmbach, or Porth. Apprenticeships last between two and four years, leading to a Level 3 qualification.

Expect to learn technical skills as well as essential employment skills. You’ll have support from a college training advisor and Trivallis managers. We provide PPE and equipment, and you’ll receive a monthly salary.

*This role is for one year and is work-based only. You will not have to attend college to complete this apprenticeship.
