Job description

The academic part of the training will be provided by an accredited university where you will undertake modules as which include core areas necessary for professional dietetic practice: professional practice, structure and function, health and well being, nutritional biochemistry, human nutrition, public health nutrition, food science and systems, genetics, microbiology and immunology, nutrition and dietetics practice, pharmacology for practice, employability, leadership and quality. The post holder will be delegated a wider range of tasks to assist the team in day to day clinical and administration tasks: To assist the dietitian in the treatment of clients as required To continue the treatment of clients as delegated by the dietitian, working without direct supervision at times, reporting back to the dietitian. To assist the dietitian with challenging clients or those with complex needs who require more than one person to treat. Develops and manages and maintain positive and appropriate relationship with service users and families and carers.
Demonstrating respect, kindness and empathy at all times. Core knowledge of clinical technical and or scientific roles and responsibilities including clinical risk assessment Instruct clients and carers, providing direction and guidance on a range of dietitian interventions independently where directed by a dietitian.
