As part of the Global Business Unit (GBU) Composites Materials, Wrexham plays a crucial role in serving the aerospace business for the GBU. An opportunity has recently arisen for two x Engineering Apprentices to join our maintenance team at our Wrexham, UK plant in September 2024. One Apprentice will be mechanically biased and the other will be electrical however there is the expectation that
they will be multi-skilled at the end of the apprenticeship.
We are looking for:
Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship leading into a Level 4 Higher Engineering Apprenticeship
We count on you for:
- Working within our dedicated manufacturing site and reporting to the Maintenance supervisor our Apprentices, will have a hands on role that forms part of our efficient and innovative Maintenance team.
- The environment is fast paced and you will be required to maintain complex equipment to ensure that high safety standards are adhered to. Under supervision the role holder will work on:
- Electrical and/ or mechanical planned or unplanned maintenance and process automation support activities.
- Troubleshoot problems in the event of an electrical and/ or mechanical failure in equipment and recommend parts so as to effect a timely response in support of manufacturing.
- This is a challenging and technical role based within a strong team of maintenance professionals where, for the right candidate, there is an opportunity to learn and grow within an exciting and forward thinking business

You will bring:
- PEO Level 2 qualified.
- At Least 5 GCSE's of C or above including Maths & English,
- A keen interest in practical, hands-on activities.

- A good team worker and ability to communicate with others.
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.

- Year 1 - £18,000 including shift premium
- Year 2 - £21,500 including shift premium
- Year 3 - £24,500 including shift premium
- Year 4 - £27,400 including shift premium
