SalaryBouygues Energy and Services, is seeking to appoint an Apprentice Electrician to be based in Livingston/Glasgow.

The Role
The Apprentice Electrician will work alongside an experienced team and will gain experience of the following:
- Understand and apply the principles of safe working practices including safe isolation
- Gain knowledge of electrical circuits such as various power and lighting in various work environments
- Understand the use site drawings and specifications
- Develop skills of material planning/time management
- Understand and apply the practices and legislation of selection of equipment to IET Regulations, Building Standards, & Codes of Practice etc
- Develop the skills of Inspection and Testing and the completion of documentation and fault finding
- Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role
The apprenticeship will include a day release study at West Lothian college.
The following qualifications will be attained through this apprenticeship
- SVQ Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7
What you will need:
- To be registered and have passed the SECTT pre-employment assessment
- Strong aptitude in maths and physics
- Good problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Due to the location study and work, it is preferred for the candidate to have a driving licence and transport or on the path to completing their test in the near future.
