Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Security Systems Engineer, you will embark on a rewarding journey to master the complexities of electronic Security Systems while working with a company renowned for its excellence in the field. This apprenticeship offers a blend of college-based learning and hands-on experience. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of electronic Security Systems.
Participate in college-based training and practical, on-the-job learning.
Develop proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Security Systems.
Gain an understanding of various security equipment and technologies.
Work with the team to ensure that Security Systems meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Entry requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the field of electronic Security Systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Full UK driving license an advantage, but not required.
If you have not achieved your Maths and English GCSE grades 4-9 (C+), you will be required to complete these alongside your apprenticeship. Skills for Security will assist you with this.
Training to be provided
Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Watford Centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
On Site Training:
You will shadow and be mentored by a full time engineer and develop proficiency in installing, configuring and maintaining Security Systems.
Things to consider
You will be required to travel to sites for your job role and attend the training centre every eight weeks. The apprenticeship is 28 months and therefore, full commitment is needed.
