SalaryChichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Apprenticeship Coachat our Crawley campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £23,264 - £25,424 per annum, plus £610.08 Crawley Weighting Allowance.
The Apprenticeship Coach role:
As our Apprenticeship Coach, you will join our amazing Apprenticeship team as an Apprenticeship Coach to provide students and employers with a high level of support relevant to their Apprenticeship programme in order to facilitate progression, achievement and success. Through the work you do as an Apprenticeship Coach will motivate and support our apprentices to achieve their full potential both in the workplace and at college, ensuring they are equipped with the skills to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of ourApprenticeship Coach:
- Motivating each individual learner within a caseload and to monitor their progress against their learning goals.
- To encourage each student to engage personal evaluation, reflection and target setting, using value added to measure progression (where appropriate).
- To set, in partnership with individual students, course teams and other stakeholders (including, for example, employers, social care and parents) challenging SMART targets to support progression.
- Fully utilising information systems to record, monitor and track learners within a cohort of tutees.
- Rigorously tracking and monitoring the attendance of each student within a cohort of tutees across all elements of their programme (including Maths, English and ICT as appropriate) and, where necessary, take action to improve poor individual performance. This will/may include sustained liaison with the student and key stakeholders.
- To identify student needs and facilitate access to appropriate services to support achievement, such as additional support, careers advice and the enrichment programme.
- Delivering and facilitating group activities which support the development of personal employability/work readiness skills, knowledge and skills related to the Group’s Core Values and British Values statement.
Our ideal Apprenticeship Coach should have the below skills and experience:
- Educated to Level 3
- Understanding of the study needs and options and progression opportunities for post 16 learners
- Experience supporting students post 16
- The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- Self motivated with the ability to be innovative and to display initiative
