Role Purpose
Approved Operator - Grade B
This opportunity, based at our Prestwick site offers:
- 37 hour working week (half day Friday)
- Shift premiums up to 33%, where applicable

- Work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Carry out tasks in support of internal manufacturing processes within the business unit e.g. mixing and application of sealants.
- Burnishing and polishing of skins.
- Part marking of details and components.
- Sealing of metallic fuel tanks.
- Composite repair method 8.
- Stamp own work to verify certification.
- Loading of components into SME’s.
- Distribution of paint to cells.
- Monitoring stock levels of sealants and composite materials and advise Lead Operator / Technician of findings.
- Movement of components in and out of paint shop.
- Cleaning of components (skins).
- Prefer NVQ Level 2 in relevant areas or comparable experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of drawing interpretation
- Forklift operation/Licence
- Crane operation/Licence
- Skin Dimpling approval required
