Woodland EstateArborist / Tree Surgeon / Woodsperson who has experience working in a Forestry / Woodland / estate environment, including using industry-related machinery and holds minimum certificates of competence, i.e. CS30 and CS31, Brushcutter and Brushwood Chipper is required to maintain a Woodland Estate based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Woodland EstateArborist / Tree Surgeon / Woodspersonwho has experience working in a Forestry / Woodland / estate environment, including using industry-related machinery and holds minimum certificates of competence, i.e. CS30 and CS31, Brushcutter and Brushwood Chipper.

Working as the Woodland EstateArborist / Tree Surgeon / Woodsperson you must be prepared to work outside in all seasons and weathers accordingly and demonstrate a basic understanding of woodland management practices and have a good understanding of tree identification.

As the Woodland EstateArborist / Tree Surgeon / Woodsperson you will be reporting directly to the Estate Advisor and working on a range of forestry activities to maintain the woodlands.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Woodland EstateArborist / Tree Surgeon / Woodsperson include:

• Tree maintenance

• Tree surveying & safety inspections

• Planting and establishing trees

• Manual and mechanical vegetation management

• Coppicing

• Felling and processing timber

• Pest control

• Firewood production and delivery

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

• Hold minimum certificates of competence, i.e. CS30 and CS31, Brushcutter and Brushwood Chipper

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• A land-based qualification, minimum Level 2 (or equivalent)

• NPTC, IPAF or LANTRA Certificates of Competence

• Tree Inspection qualification

• First Aid+F and Shotgun/FAC licence
