Reporting into the Visual Merchandising Director, with several key flagship stores to open and numerous other stand-alone and shop in shop projects each year, this role is to deliver all new and refurbishment projects on time, in budget, to agreed brand design and quality standards and in line with best practice, and compliant to Health and Safety standards, building regulations and landlord requirements.
- Design, development, and implementation of Stella McCartney stores worldwide.
- Design and development of new showroom/ office space.
- Working on specific graphic design projects including digital and print
- Involvement in key collaborations on design, execution and constancy of core brand DNA
- Negotiating with key suppliers, contractors, calendar management across all design and construction project
- Visiting stores post and pre-implementation, attending site meetings and project meetings as required
- Leading and communicating details of all plan changes and issues supporting plan revisions to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Ensuring spend is within the budget and cost-effective service provision from all relevant suppliers
- Organise business contracts.
- Sourcing suitable units for new stores and liaising with letting agents, architects and building contractors.
- Work closely with brand design teams to ensure adherence to brand standards
- Relate building design concepts to building codes, zoning ordinances and other external issues.
- Consult with manufacturers; research and propose materials and products.
- Prepare and create presentation drawings and/or graphics and otherwise assist in presentations both internally and externally.
- Previous architecture design experience in Luxury brands, fit-out project management. Great understanding on in-house retail design process.
- Proficiency on both store concept design, rendering and detail drawings.
- Ability to manage and develop external relationships within but not limited Millworkers, GC, local architects, and external partnerships.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate internal relationships with regional offices and HQ team (commercial, legal, facility, VM, CID, Finance, etc)
- Sound understanding and knowledge of all related Health & Safety regulations.
- Technically competent, ability to read, assess and apply design specifications
- Good understanding of property management, lease obligation and maintenance
- Excellent time and project management, design quality control skills
- Experience of both UK and international projects
- Experience in store planning, layouts, merchandising, and translation of flagship Retail concept into secondary stores and shop in shop roll outs.
