You will be communicating with design consultants, incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the team, ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations. You will also be Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
Responsibilities
- Adherence to our Every Step Safely Health, Safety and Wellbeing inductions, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for collaborating with consultants from all relevant disciplines to develop designs that are transferable to a volumetric solution within multiple sectors.
- Provide guidance to consultants from various disciplines and in some cases create detailed drawing packages for planning submissions.
- Assist in the coordination of project activities with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders,
- Participate in design meetings and provide input on design concepts and solutions adopting standard ESS construction components and details at RIBA stage 3, 4 & 5.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details. adopting standard ESS construction components.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and compliance with the ESS standard product, materials and relevant legislation.
- Be able Undertake full planning and building regulations submissions.
- Produce marketing material and manage the process in order to assist in increasing turnover of the business.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Revit software to enhance proficiency and efficiency in project delivery.
- Feed into Lessons Learnt, continuous improvements with both Product & Processes
Qualifications (Essential)
- The ideal candidate will have a degree or HNC/D level education with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience. Advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD are a must, and proficiency in 3dmax would be beneficial. While previous modular experience would be an advantage, it is not essential.
- Proficient in AutoCAD detailing, Revit Modelling and a good understanding of MS Office/Outlook
- Understanding of Building Information Modelling & BIM Interoperability Tools
- Working knowledge of BIM Level 2 [Federating Models / Clash Detection and working in/with Revit]
- Ability to work to/input into BEP with agreed workflows utilising CDEs
- Appreciation of EIR and AIR requirements and inputting into model assets for use in CAFM systems
- Understanding of MIDP and TIDP requirements within projects and maintaining information production to meet these requirements.
Experience (Essential)
- Proven experience working as a Architectural Technician/Technologist/Architectural Designer
- Good understanding of the UK planning process and CDM responsibilities
- Construction experience, offsite preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of building regulation AD’s 2022
