About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The Area Integration Lead will ensure that there is a recommended sequence of installation of all scope across multiple contracts within their designated area; from manufacturing completion through to site construction, erection and commissioning which supports schedule integration. This will involve:
  • Conducting integrated and cross-cutting coordination reviews of construction preparation
  • Looking at arrangements in detail from wider perspectives to provide oversight
  • Ensuring pre-requisites, dependencies and constraints are managed in a balanced and integrated approach to ensure the activities on the site run safely and smoothly and in accordance with the project schedule
  • Use of 3D and/or 4D tools, such as Navisworks and/or Synchro, and managing data via databases or PowerBI.

The Area Integration Lead's primary objective will be to identify and eliminate issues to fully de-risk site activities. This will involve interfacing with the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Area Multi-Disciplinary Teams on the HPC project. The analysis horizon of the Area Integration Lead must go beyond current on-going activities on the HPC Site and will include all relevant work to be completed through to the Commercial Operation Date.
Here's What You'll Need:
  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent in Construction Management or related subject
  • Experience in delivering highly complex projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of programme progress and forecast position and planning.
  • Experience and understanding of working in regulated sectors with high Safety Quality Culture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in an integrated team environment.
  • Management of strategic planning, developing construction sequences and recovery plans.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters.
  • Motivational approach and the ability to energise team members by building a climate of trust and understanding.
  • Awareness of project change control and risk management processes.
