Ensuring that all births, deaths, and marriages/civil partnerships are delivered according to statute, you will work closely with the Business Operations Manager/Superintendent Registrar (SR) by contributing to the successful development of, and public access to, the service against service and departmental priorities.

With responsibility for recruitment, and ongoing resourcing and performance of the team, you will ensure that day to day cover for busy Registration Offices and other service delivery points is well planned, specifically managing the South Hampshire areas Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Petersfield, Romsey, Totton, Ringwood, Lymington.
We are looking for a strong operational manager with experience of managing a team, across a geographical area. You will have experience in leading change as well as introducing new working practices and inspiring your team to fundamentally shape and implement a modern service.
Working closely with our local authority partners, you will be flexible and adaptable in how our current service will be transformed based on our vision and strategic objectives. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to how the local authority implement changes to national policies and any legislative changes in relation to the Registration Service, along with contributing to key directorate themes, e.g. commerciality, digital, health and safety, inclusion and climate change. Registration Service awareness training will be available to the right person.
