Area Sales Engineer Rotating Equipment - North Position Overview

My client has a network of over 100 service sites around the world, providing cutting-edge parts as well as maintenance and repair solutions for pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and generators.
We currently have a great opportunity to join our client's sales team as an Area Sales Manager.

You'll be able to make your mark, enjoying responsibility for Sales within the North of England covering Northumberland, Cumbria, Lancashire, Tyne and Wear and North Yorkshire. Helping to drive and grow the Region sales and take it to the next level. This is a homebased role with travel required and compensated through a company car or car allowance.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing the comprehensive service sales portfolio specifically into specific market segments, primarily Oil & Gas, Renewables, Power Generation, Marine and Utilities.
• Growing the service portfolio around Pumps, Motors, Generators, Turbines and Electromechanical in the areas. Growing the account base, upselling new services and generating new business.
• Ensure that effective client contact, relationship building, and management processes are in place (including acting on feedback from Customer Satisfaction Surveys) to positively influence the client to use the company as the preferred source for rotating equipment maintenance
• Managing internal and external customers to deliver customer satisfaction and grow relationships within the customer base
• Use the CRM system data to coordinate service and sales response throughout the company and use insight from this to make customer and industry-based sales decision to grow the sales area

Area Sales Manager Rotating Equipment - North Position Requirements

• You must be living within the North of England covering Northumberland, Cumbria, Lancashire, Tyne and Wear and North Yorkshire
• To be a self-motivated and dynamic individual capable of developing relationships and driving results
• Have good communication skills at all levels and the ability to recognise and execute a given opportunity from initial contact, through all works progress and aftersales.
• Preferred experience preferably in the Power, O&G, and Water industries, including other industrial sectors such as Marine, FM, Defence, or other similar industries
• Ideally experience in electro-mechanical Rotating Equipment (although not essential)
• Demonstrable success within Business Development in a commercial environment
• Preferred engineering or business management qualification
• Proven track record in sales generation across multiple industries/markets
• Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts and customers

Area Sales Manager Rotating Equipment - North Position Remuneration

• Salary of £45,000- £55,000 (DOE) + 15% bonus
• 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) + service days
