Area Sales Manager

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to support our Customer Service and Commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a territory in alignment with our business strategy. This role involves nurturing the existing distributor network, identifying new strategic partners, and promoting our products across various market sectors.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Create and manage an effective distribution channel.
- Engage in co-marketing activities, product training, and business review updates with the distribution network.
- Support distributors and purchasers to achieve product and market sales targets.
- Utilize specification sales techniques to leverage product quality and brand reputation.
- Maintain correct levels of pricing and margin recovery in line with the business plan.
- Produce high-quality sales and marketing activity forecasts.
- Liaise with distributors, customers, and internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Conduct commercial negotiations to secure orders.
- Find, appoint, train, motivate, and monitor new distributors.
- Provide regular sales activity updates to the Sales Director.
- Monitor competitor activity and market strategy.
- Manage distributor agreements and prepare monthly forecasts and reports.
- Lead the company’s presence at regional trade exhibitions and control promotional and travel budgets.
- Extensive travel as required for the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Excellent administrative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft TEAMS.
- Proven experience in an external sales role within an international business.
- Experience working through a distributor sales network.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A degree or equivalent work experience in a related role is advantageous.
- A second language is an advantage.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to undertake extensive international travel.
- Experience in the MEAI region is beneficial.
