Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Flooring Building Products
Industry Sector: Flooring Distributors, Flooring Contractors, Building Products, Adhesives, Levellers, Damp Proof Membranes and Floor Screeds
Area to be covered: North London and Northern Home Counties
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 + 15% bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed Plug-In Hybrid Car & Full Benefits
The role of the Area Sales Manager - Flooring Building Products will involve:
- Field sales position, promoting a manufactured range of flooring adhesives , smoothing & levelling compounds, damp proof membranes and floor screeds
- 80% of your time account managing approx. 5-6 flooring distributors and selling direct into an established base of flooring and screeding contractors (typically split 70/30 in favour of flooring distributors and their sales teams)
- Promoting new products to existing customers
- 20% new business development (e.g. bringing on 5 new flooring contractors in the coming year)
- Revenue responsibility for circa £2.2m
- Order values up to £21,000 (full container), minimum order of £2,000
- Going out with distribution field sales reps to visit their retail and contractor customers
- Typically 4 visits per day
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Flooring Building Products with:
- Must have sold to contractors or distributors
- Ideally from a flooring trade or associated Building Products background
- Need to earn, strong work ethic/ motivated to get out of bed in the morning
- Outgoing and likeable persona
- Stable career history, our client is looking for continuity in career
- Knowledge of flooring adhesives and grouts , smoothing & levelling compounds, damp proof membranes and floor screeds is not essential
- High energy levels
- Excellent territory planning capability
- IT/ CRM proficient
