Key Skills, Responsibilities & Objectives
- Develop strong customer relationships with existing and new customers
- Maximise customers accounts
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales
- Increase the number of trading accounts
- Contact dormant accounts to rebuild relationships and reestablish trading
- Deliver against agreed sales targets to build and grow sales revenue
- Maximise profitability by ensuring products are sold with optimum margin
- Liaise with suppliers to secure optimum terms with regards to large projects
- Plan and log calls/visits on a daily basis
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends
- Increase the awareness of the brand
Experience
- At least five years within the industry
- Must have a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Electrical product knowledge is essential and the ability to demonstrate sample products confidently face to face to potential customers
- Possess a knowledge and network of electrical suppliers and contractors
- Strong communication skills to build relationships with customers and deliver excellent customer service
- Confident skills to deliver solutions against the set profit margins
- The ability to identify suitable target companies and the ability to approach the companies direct
- Self-motivated, the drive to succeed
- Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative, in addition to working as part of a team
