A key part of Adult Care and Health, Care Direct Plus have several vacancies for Arranging Support Co-ordinators based in Newton Abbot, an important role which supports clients following an assessment to meet their eligible care needs within Southern & Western Devon.

We are looking for applicants who are confident in communicating in a range of ways with our partners, service users and their families. This role operates within the context of limited availability of care provision at times you will communicate by telephone to negotiate on behalf of people in difficult or urgent situations, whilst ensuring accurate information is provided to external providers and care managers to support clients to live safely.

You will be confident with ICT, have excellent time-management skills with an attention to detail, and be able to work efficiently under pressure An ability and willingness to learn this high paced and varied role is crucial and you will be self-motivated whilst being adaptable to change; also, you will be able to manage your work both individually and as part of a team. You will be committed to equality and diversity, good customer service, and above all else, to achieving personalised outcomes for vulnerable people.

Whilst ideally you will have experience of working in an administrative, clerical, or other function within a health or social care environment, we welcome applications from individuals who have the right skills to thrive in this role and who feel they could make a positive impact for the individuals we support.

The Arranging Support Co-ordinator role within Care Direct Plus will work a 5-day week on a staff rotation basis over six days; Monday to Saturday, office hours. Saturday working attracts an enhanced rate. Currently staff are required to work on average one Saturday every 17 weeks, though this may be subject to change to meet the needs of the service. Currently the team work within a hybrid model of 50% office and home based, subject to the needs of the service.
