Responsibilities include:
- Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check-in processes including support for passengers with special requirements such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers needing wheelchair assistance.
- Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and quarantine as required.
- Make public address announcements as required.
- Assist colleagues in other areas of the airport to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, bags etc remain with the passengers upon arrival.
- Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
- Comply with BIA Handling Ltd Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Operate computers and specialist equipment such as air-bridge, scanners, and airline-specific software.
- Produce work-related documentation when required.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and security always.

You will be able and willing to learn to use airline-specific computer systems, have the ability to follow processes and procedures, be committed to continuous improvement and be passionate about customer service.
Previous experience of working in an aviation environment and a full driving licence are desirable.
The roles are offered on a long-term temporary basis initially, but there are permanent opportunities available for the right people.
Hourly pay rate: £10.83
£11.44 p/h this pay rate will apply from 1st of April 2024.
Five years of referenceable work history, along with completion of a basic criminal record check and counter-terrorism check prior to starting are all essential.
