Purpose of PostTo work as part of the artistic team to design and create art features for the storyland, playscape and interactive creative play features at The Imaginarium Centre.Design and produce artwork for theatre events, street Art and both permanent and temporary installations for a range of indoor and outdoor public art projects.Key AreasCreative play-imaginative activity planning and development.Supporting the artistic team in the planning, design and production of art works and art installations for various events and projects.Ensure each artwork is developed to the high standard and quality associated with all Sticky Fingers Arts projects.Participant in project development sessions in both the community and at the Imaginarium.Record and document the outcomes of each project with details on process and specification of each artwork completed.Maintain, clean and upgrade the creative play spaces ensuring each feature is safe and in full working order.Carry out weekly/daily checks on all features and installations for any damage and document repairs.Any other duties as requested..

Be imaginative, creative and have an interest in working with children.Have good communication skills and ability to understand instructions.Be able to work efficiently as part of a team and on your own initiative.Be willing to work weekends and occasional evenings.Be pleasant, friendly and provide a welcome to all visitors to the Imaginarium Centre.Be able to engage with children as part of the research and development stage of each project.Be able to work under pressure and complete projects to timescale and budget.Ability to complete reports on projects and produce detailed proposals on new work.Ability to articulate and communicate their own ideas and have a passion for creating new work in new ways.Ability to think outside the box. , Experience of working on play equipment design, carpentry or in event/stage/set production.Experience of the arts and creative sector within Ireland.Formal qualifications in art and design or theatre stage design or joinery.Formal qualifications in art, design or stage/set production.Experience of working in a busy environment dealing with members of the public and providing visitor support.Experience of producing detailed proposals on new work and create models of proposed new installations.
