Art & Design Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons in line with the national curriculum, sparking creativity and fostering self-expression.
- Nurture students’ artistic talents through innovative teaching methods, encouraging experimentation and exploration.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement and celebrating their achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and artistic growth.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience and showcase their artistic achievements.
Art & Design Teacher Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) leading to QTS.
- Specialize in Art & Design with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a deep understanding and passion for the subject.
- Possess a genuine love for teaching and inspiring young learners, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students effectively.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management skills, creating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where students feel empowered to express themselves creatively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, staying abreast of best practices in Art & Design education and pedagogy.
