Art Teacher

A leading secondary school in Tameside, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and student development, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Art lessons to students aged 11-18.
• Develop and implement engaging schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development activities.
• Support students' extracurricular activities related to business and enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Art or a related subject.
• Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

You must have the right to work, and be willing to obtain/provide the following:

•            Proof of ID

•            Proof of Address

•            Enhanced DBS on the update service

•            Overseas Police Check (if required)

•            References covering 24 months of employment.
