Job description

We are looking for a Arts Administration and Rentals Assistant to join our Arts Planning and Producing team on a full time, permanent basis.


About the role and the team:

The Arts Rentals, Partnerships and Administration team look after a broad range of responsibilities within the Arts Planning & Producing department, focusing on income-generation through the Arts Rentals programme, partnership management with Resident Orchestras and other key artistic partners, and management of a wide range of administrative systems and processes within the Arts Planning & Producing and Arts Programming departments.

The team is composed of a Head of Arts Rentals, Partnerships and Administration, an Arts Rentals Manager, an Arts Administration Manager, and an Arts Administration and Rentals Assistant. This Arts Administration and Rentals Assistant position is a new role in the team that will provide essential and broad-ranging administrative support to the team across all functions.

The Arts Rentals, Partnerships and Administration team sits alongside the Producing & Event Management Team and the Planning team within the Arts Planning & Producing department. These teams work closely in collaboration with the Arts Programming teams.


Objectives

  • To provide efficient and proactive support to the Arts Rentals, Partnerships and Administration team to ensure that the administrative functions of the department are effectively dealt with.
  • To provide efficient and courteous support, and be an informed point of contact, to all those involved with the Arts Rentals, Partnerships and Administration team.

Southbank Centre

Southbank Centre is Europe’s largest arts centre and one of the UK’s top five visitor attractions, occupying an 11-acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. The site has an extraordinary creative and architectural history stretching back to the 1951 Festival of Britain.
