Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits 22k - 27k + Training + Benefits
We are recruiting within the North East region for an industry leading Asbestos Consultancy. They are now seeking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst. The successful candidate will have a background working within a UKAS accredited asbestos company working within a busy laboratory. Your day-to-day duties will include logging and safely storing asbestos samples, using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out analysis on samples and ensuring the laboratory is working in line with safe working practices.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Shields, Washington, Durham, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hexham, Whitley Bay, Peterlee, Consett.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will hold BOHS P401.
" Will have a background working within the asbestos industry.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Professional communication skills.
" Efficient time management skills.
" Will be IT literate.
The Role:
" Logging all asbestos samples upon arrival to the laboratory, ensuring they are store correctly.
" Safely preparing samples for analysis.
" Undertaking samples analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Ensuring all equipment is calibrated and clean.
" Accurately completing job sheets.
" Carrying out safe working practices and working in compliance with Health and Safety legislations.
" Liaise professionally with clients.
" Ensuring equipment is calibrated.
