Due to an increase of work load within our business, we are seeking an additional Assembly and Stock Assistant to join our team starting ASAP on a Full time basis. Working from our modern workshop facility in Farnborough where we repair and refurbish small electrical items ready for re sale or return after repair to our customers worldwide. We can offer full training for candidates seeking the chance to work in a bench workshop role that is a hands on role checking and inspecting the small electrical items. The role would suit candidates who are keen to learn, who have an eye for detail and who have used hand held tools previously. We are happy to consider a recent College or Uni leaver looking to gain experience within a hands-on electrical/assembly/stock role or alternatively we would welcome more experienced candidates who have worked within an electrical, assembly, stock checking role or who have been involved in the repair of small items such as phones or PC's through work or a hobby.
You will be working with small electrical items, inspecting and checking via fault finding and diagnostics through our PC applications prior to despatch to our customers to ensure all items are functioning properly and are correct as per the customer order and requirements. Our working hours are Mon to Fri working hours 9am to 5pm, with free parking and weekly pay.
The role of Assembly and Stock Assistant, is to ensure that the electrical devices meet the customer’s expectations regarding functionality, model type and configuration, labels and markings, cleanliness and accessories required. Checking existing stock meets the customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality inspections for goods receipts and final product inspection before dispatching
• Ensure orders are completed to customer specific requirements including functionality, model type and configuration, labels and markings, cleanliness and accessories needed.
• To ensure all such orders are dispatched in a timely manner with all defined requirements.
• Updating the Service Management team with any issues detected.
• Accurately maintain records for all quality deviations and recorded internal processes
• Inform quality manager of all deviations and servicing difficulties.
• Accurately separate and store and document goods receipts per quality instructions
• Proactively work to improve operating processes, to ensure the optimum output.
• Follow all work instructions and company processes
• Health & Safety, make sure all areas are safe always.
• Housekeeping, maintain a clean working environment.
• Any other reasonable tasks assigned by the management.
• To abide by the Employers Working Rules.
To be considered for the Assembly and Stock Assistant you will have excellent communication skills, possess a good level of small part manual dexterity and attention to detail, be a team player, have a good methodical approach towards your work, be a problem solver, have good organisational skills, able to work on your own initiative, and have good PC skills.
