Hours Monday Thursday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, and Friday 7.30 am 3.15 pm

Our client partnerships with top industry brands allow us to provide the most effective, superior assemblies and supply a range of accessory products from advanced software, simulation and calculation techniques to their new and highly capable CNC machines and they are looking for a Assembly Line Assistant Supervisor to join their ever expanding team.

Assembly Line Assistant Supervisor duties & responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the shift in support of the Line Manager
• Managing the day-to-day performance of the shift, ensuring both the Production Plan and the Key Performance Indicators are achieved
• Supervise the production team, consisting of two teams of assembly engineers
• Ensure staffing levels are sufficient to fulfil orders including the flow of raw materials, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, and resolve problems
• Manage shop floor staff in terms of following Company policies including Hygiene, Health & Safety, Safe Systems of Work and PPE
• Assist the Duty Manager in managing, developing, motivating, and appraising staff performance, ensuring clear communication
• Ensure a meaningful hand-over between shifts
• Ensure that all documents required by the hygiene and quality management systems are completed in full, regarding the work being carried out

Assembly Line Assistant Supervisor Person Specification

• Must hold an electrical qualification and/or panel building experience of at least 1 year
• Candidate will need a keen eye for detail and quality in this role
• Previous experience working as either a Team Leader or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
• Experience and knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Flexible and proactive with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate and work well in a team is essential for this role
