Assembly Technician
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Work hours: Mon-Thurs (8:45am-5pm) and Fri (9am-3:30pm)
Hourly pay: 28k- 32k PA
Bonus + Training + Private Health Cash Plan + 3% Pension

HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our client's world's leading underwater inspection service. They have developed offshore equipment in demand by organisations such as The Royal Navy, EDF Energy and Chevron.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role, assembling and testing underwater electronic products to a high standard. This will include testing, reworking, and repairing equipment where necessary. You must have previous experience in soldering and handling electronics.
General Duties:
Assembling new underwater electronic products to a high standard
Soldering PCBs and cable assemblies according to drawings and assembly instructions
Polyurethane over moulding of cables
Updating stock system as parts are used and re-ordered.
Testing products using mustimeters / power supplies / windows software.
Completing test and QC paperwork accurately
Ad-hoc repairs to a variety of equipment under the direction of the workshop engineer
Assisting with warehousing / packing / palletizing of equipment
Role Requirements:
Familiar with using basic electronic test equipment
Able to follow wiring diagrams, and instructions accurately
Confident using small hand tools (screwdrivers / Allen keys/ spanners / tweezers)
Understanding of voltage/current/resistance
Good mechanical assembly skills of small parts using hand tools
Exceptional attention to detail in your work
Proficient in the use of windows software and MS office
