Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
£11-£11.50ph depending on experience & skills.
SUMMARY
Our client in Alton is seeking an Assembly Technician who can assemble and test mechanical & electrical systems.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They must also demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components to build products on the assembly line according to engineering drawings and instructions.
- Conduct initial and visual inspections of components and completed products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborating with other departments such as engineering and production to ensure efficient assembly process.
- Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to management.
- Packing assembled products into boxes for storage.
- Keeping tools and work areas clean and organized.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficient in hand tools, measuring instruments and electrical testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow engineering drawings
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
